Tips for a Compliant Photo

Take the photo in natural or diffused light. Avoid direct flash, which creates harsh shadows behind your head. Face the camera squarely with a neutral expression and both eyes open. Glasses are allowed in most countries but check your specific requirements, as the US stopped accepting glasses in passport photos in 2016.

Wear clothing that contrasts with the white background. Avoid white shirts or tops since they blend into the background and can cause rejection. Head coverings are only allowed for documented religious reasons.

The Background Remover handles the background replacement. If you need the photo in a different format afterward, the Image Converter can convert between PNG, JPG, and WebP.
