Generate a WiFi QR code to share your network without typing passwords. Works with WPA networks and scans with any phone camera app.
Enter text or a URL above to generate a QR code
Sharing WiFi by reading out passwords fails on the first special character. A WiFi QR code ends that: guests point their camera, tap join, and connect. Cafes print one for the counter, Airbnb hosts frame one per room, offices post one in meeting rooms.
| Field | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WIFI: | prefix | marks the payload as network config |
| T:WPA | security | WPA covers WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 home |
| S:MyNetwork | SSID | exact network name, case sensitive |
| P:password | password | your network password |
| H:true | hidden flag | only for hidden networks |
| ;; | terminator | closes the record |
The sample above encodes a WPA network called MyNetwork. Replace S and P with your values and the code updates live.
Rotate the guest password periodically and regenerate the code in seconds. Keep your main network off the printed code entirely: a photo of the QR is a photo of the password.
For plain links use Generate QR Code from URL, or encode the string by hand with the URL Encoder.
